andy bloch
Current Residence: Takoma Park, Maryland
Andy got serious about poker after he graduated from MIT with 2 Electrical Engineering degrees in 1992. While he was working in an engineering job, Bloch would occasionally play poker at Foxwoods Casino on the weekends. After going through a few engineering jobs Andy decided to head back to school in Cambridge, this time at Harvard, for a law degree. While attending Harvard he juggled poker and blackjack with his studies there, even skipping classes to play in the World Championships in Las Vegas in 1997 and 1998. He had to miss the World Championships in 1999 because of his graduation. Although he successfully passed the bar exam, he was more intrigued to play poker professionally than practicing law. He is considered an expert in Game Theory, and prides himself on playing the psychological aspects of the game. He also likes to play the Stock Market in his spare time.
