Antonio moved from Iran to the United States when he was nine years old. Antonio started working as a professional magician when he was nineteen. After working for about a year as a magician he found himself in a casino and eventually learned the trade of hold'em and loved the competition. Antonio credits Scott Lundgren, Phil Laak, and Gabe Thaler with some of his success at the poker table. When Antonio started playing poker, he used to play heads up no limit hold'em with Gabe for hours on end. From there, his poker career has taken off and that clearly was the case when he became the youngest player ever to win a million dollar prize at the 2004 World Poker Tour's LA Poker Classic.
