Daniel Negreanu is the reigning "Player of the Year" in professional poker. He quit high school to play poker full time. Daniel was confident he could make a good living playing poker, so he moved to Las Vegas but failed the first time he tried to beat the middle-limit games on the Vegas strip. He returned home to Canada and was determined more than ever to succeed as a poker player. He began studying the game and watching final tables intensely, learning about his future opponents and how to play in short-handed situations. Negreanu's breakthrough would eventually come in 1999 at the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods, and his first World Series of Poker came later that year. Negreanu has evolved into one of poker's brightest stars, and most respected players.
