Dave got his start playing cards when he was fourteen years old and he started playing poker at eighteen. He would play cards with his friends on flat tombstones in a cemetery. Devilfish is one of the most feared players in the game today, he has an intimidating appearance to him that is composed of a suit and tie, his hair is slicked back, and he wears orange tinted sunglasses. Dave received the "Devilfish" nickname when he was in Las Vegas and he defeated a Chinese card player and he said that Dave posses a look of a poisonous fish that can kill you if not properly prepared. He has won tournaments all over Europe and is regarded as one of the best Pot Limit Omaha players of all time. Devilfish is one of the few players to have won a WPT Championship and a World Series of Poker bracelet (1997 Pot Limit Hold'em). Dave is well known in the UK even to the point where he has been banned from nearly every single betting parlor in England.
