Before Erik became a professional poker player he was a competitive backgammon player, and he spent eight years on the backgammon professional circuit. Once he finished up playing on the backgammon circuit he moved on to work in the stock market where he traded GNMA's for PaineWebber. Poker has been Erik's prime focus for some time now. He was member of the group of the now famous players from the Mayfair Club, which included Howard Lederer and Dan Harrington. Erik has six World Series of Poker bracelets including this years $2000 No Limit Hold'em. Erik can often be found playing in the highest stake games in Las Vegas. Erik's name comes up quite frequently on the elite poker players "most admired" list that has been developed by his fellow professionals.
