Martin began playing poker at the age of 19 when he moved to Stockholm, Sweden. He learned the game from reading Doyle Brunson's book "Super System". Martin is also a professional bridge player as well as a professional sports bettor. Martin became a noted world class poker player with a win at the World Poker Tour Five Star Poker Classic Championship which at the time was the largest single prize ever awarded to a poker player. His basic game philosophy is "To respect, but never fear your opponent".
