Phil was born in California, but grew up in New Jersey where he started his pro poker career in Atlantic City. Phil has fast become one of the most recognizable faces in poker, and one of the most dangerous players at the table. Phil is one of the main reasons for the demographic changes in today's game. Phil won his first World Series of Poker title at the age of 23 and followed that impressive feat two years later by winning a record tying three tournament bracelets in 2002. In addition, to being a tremendous tournament player, Phil is also very active and successful in live money games at the Bellagio with featured players such as: Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Johnny Chan, Jennifer Harmen-Traniello, Gus Hansen and others.
