Birthplace: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Current Residence: Las Vegas, Nevada
Nickname: Thunder
Thomas is a 25 year old poker professional who has made a lasting impression on the poker world. Thunder as he is known took just three years to earn an economics degree at Stanford. He started playing poker when he was 17 in home games for quarters. He says the movie Rounders had a major influence on him in his start of playing poker. He turned professional right after he graduated from Stanford. When Thunder was 22, he was playing in the highest limit games in the state of Arizona, and he was routinely annihilating the $100-$200 game. Thunder's dominance was so powerful he became a legend within the local scene of Arizona. He did the unthinkable in 2004, winning his first ever attempt at the World Series of Poker ($5,000 No Limit event), playing in what was one of the toughest No Limit Hold'em fields in history.
