Legendary Poker Hands

Texas Holdem No-Limit WSOP 1993

$10,000 Main Event: Rags all around

Jim Bechtel   Glen Cozen
Jack of Clubs Six of Hearts VS Seven of Spades Four of Diamonds
The Flop The Turn The River
Ten of Diamonds Eight of Spades Three of Clubs Two of Clubs Five of Diamonds

The Result

The last hand played had Jim Bechtel the chip leader and Glen Cozen being short stacked. These two players went heads-up on the third hand and at that time Cozen (who is short stacked) moved all-in with the 7Spades4Diamonds and Bechtel called quickly with the JClubs6Hearts. The flop showed the 10Diamonds8Spades3Clubs, which did not help Bechtel or Cozen. The turn was next and the 2Clubs came up and again no help to either player. The river appeared and it was the 5Diamonds which did nothing for Cozen and Bechtel won the hand with a J-high.

analysis

This situation is typical for a player who is short stacked, as the player moves all-in with a weak hand and the opponents will take the opportunity to knock them out whether they have a strong hand or not.
