The Result

In the final hand of the 2005 World Series of Poker, Steve Dannenmann was first to act and he decided to raise $700,000 from the small blind with the ADiamonds3Clubs. Joseph Hachem decided to call Dannenmann raise with the 7Clubs3Spades. The flop brought the 6Hearts5Diamonds4Diamonds, which gave Hachem a 7 high straight and Steve Dannenmann was drawing to tie. Joe was first to act and he checked, Steve raises another $700,000, Joe checkraises for one million and Steve calls. The turn card comes with the ASpades and Joe Hachem bets out $2 million. The play is to Steve and he bets $3 million more. Joseph then moves all-in and Dannenmann calls. Here we go; the 2005 World Series of Poker is coming down to the river. The river card comes with the 4Clubs and Joseph Hachem is the new World Champion of poker.
